Emperor Justinian l was one of the most successful and celebrated monarchs of the Byzantine Empire. He was crowned in 526 AD. He was the last of the Byzantine rulers to use the title of Caesar. He lead the empire into its golden age where it prospered along the coast of the Mediterranean and parts of inner Greece and Africa. He He unified much of the empire and also made the roman laws one book.
